What NOT To Plan for Your Trip

  1. You don’t need to have a plan for everyday! Yes, you want to have options but a well-planned trip leaves room for flexibility and the unexpected. Always allow yourself room for change. The weather may change, or you may find something better you would like to do. As I mentioned before a lot of your itinerary and plans go out the window when you are actually there. The best recommendations come from locals.

  2. Don’t plan what to wear every day! This sounds silly but trust me. You don’t want to have to pay extra because of luggage weight or be lugging around more than you will ever need like I tend to do. Try to pack clothes that easily go together and that you can mix and match. You never really know the vibe until you are there and being the indecisive Gemini that I am, my mood frequently changes and what I thought looked like a great idea when packing isn’t at all going to work with where I am at and what the vibe actually is.

  3. Where to eat!! Please, please ask around for recommendations. Ask the concierge at the hotel or a local while roaming around. The hotel concierge sounds like it will only be a high-end option but that is not the case. They are locals too and sometimes if high end is what you prefer, they can get you reservations.
